Final Reflection

I thought I would hate this class because most of my experience with computers has not been good, however I have really enjoyed it.  I struggled in the beginning but with every completed assignment I got a little more confident.  It was nice because even though we had deadlines if I had trouble with something I wasn't worried about failing I knew I would get help  and be able to finish my work.  I feel like I learned a lot and had fun doing it.

Blogging in the Classroom

I like blogging for class, as long as I know someone is going to read it.  For my Ed. Psych. class this semester we were required to answer questions on a blog  every week and maybe one or two of mine have been read and that is frustrating.  It feels pointless.  I guess it is still a way to put your thoughts down but if no one comments on them its disappointing.  I have had fun with this blog.  It was the first time I learned how to create my own page and transfer images.  So cool.

Safety Minutes

I really appreciated the safety minutes in class.  I find myself thinking every time I go up the stairs and don't hold the rails, or multitask while driving.  I no longer listen to my music while walking across campus.  If I do it is down very low so that I can still be aware of my surroundings.  The advice was heard.

Graduation

It is hard to believe that graduation is almost here.  It seems strange that in a year I will be through with school, masters and all.  As a non-traditional student, wife and mother, I wish I could stress the importance of getting your education before you get to a point where you have to put your life on hold in order to do so.  I wish I had finished school the first time I attended.  I feel like I am missing out on my little boys growing up.  Every night they ask me to lay down with them and I have to say I can't because I have homework it kills me.  I have tried to encourage younger students that I've come in contact with that were discouraged or not taking school seriously to stick with it and finish before they get so many responsibilities.  I hope that my experience and other non trads can make a difference, be an inspiration.  If we can do this at the stage we are in , they surely can in theirs.

Digital Stories

I think this project was the most fun.  I not only learned how to turn my own pictures into a movie, I even created my own music.  I wish my pictures had been a little clearer but I took them with my phone .  Otherwise I was very pleased with how the project turned out.

Digital Diagram

This project was fun.  I had trouble finding a link and doing my notes but I liked making the diagram itself.  I think I will definitely try to use some of the new things I have learned in this class, in my own classroom.

Flip Chart

This project turned out to be not as intimidating as I thought it would be.  I enjoyed finding the information for my pages and deciding how to display them.  The only real trouble I had was adding the project to my website.  I am starting to feel more competent, I hope that lasts and I am able to retain what I have learned.  Only time will tell.
